Medical yoga is an approach that combines the principles of yogic science with medical science to improve the overall health and well-being of a person. In this form of yoga, known as “hath yoga,” specific asanas or poses and pranayama (breathing techniques) are utilized, and they are adapted using props like belts, bolsters, ropes, and tables to suit the individual needs of each yoga practitioner. Unlike traditional yoga, medical yoga focuses on catering to a person’s specific treatment requirements and medical conditions. By carefully targeting particular muscles and joints, through a personalized program of asanas, medical yoga aims to promote healing. The integration of medical science for diagnosis and personalized yoga practices ensures an effective approach to enhancing health and addressing individual medical concerns.
At Yoga Lifestyle Clinic, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of yoga teachers. Our experienced teachers will guide you through the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of yoga, helping you to develop a deep understanding of the practice.
